Lutheran World Hunger began in 1973 when a group of Lutherans came together to address a dramatic increase in famine worldwide. For 50 years Lutherans have been addressing hunger needs in the U.S. and around the world. Feeding the hungry is who we are as church!! Starting on September 8th and on until World Food Day October 16th, we will be celebrating this anniversary with various activities and worship. Special offerings will be made to help Lutheran World Hunger address hunger needs for the next 50 years! Please prayerfully consider giving above and beyond your normal hunger offering to help make this celebration spectacular! You can use the QR code below for your offering or one of the envelopes provided in the pews. At the end of September, over $700 has been given for World Hunger. Until all are fed……….

Our six-week emphasis on the 50th anniversary of ELCA World Hunger will continue this coming Sunday - there will be special temple talks, videos and special offerings will be received during this time - you can also watch Bishop Phyllis Milton's talk in the YouTube video below.
